Q: Can I subscribe to Coffee News?
A: You do not need to subscribe to Coffee News. It is a free weekly publication distributed at coffee shops, restaurants or any other place where you might have some time to read while waiting.

Q: How often do you publish and where are you distributed?
A: A new issue is distributed every week to coffee shops, restaurants, waiting rooms, etc. Its purpose is to provide positive, enjoyable reading for those waiting. To see the locations where you can pick up a copy of Coffee News, visit the Coffee Locations area of the website.

Q: How long has Coffee News been in existence?
A: Coffee News was originally researched and founded by Jean Daum in Winnipeg, Canada in 1988. It has grown to over 250 cities in the US and 30 foreign countries.

Q: Can restaurants advertise in Coffee News?
A: As a courtesy to all of our restaurant and coffee shop clients in Bend, we offer the protection that no business in the restaurant industry will be allowed to advertise in Coffee News. Although most restaurants would love to have an ad, they are disallowed automatically. The reason – a Burger King ad in Coffee News, for example, would have every McDonald’s refusing to carry Coffee News. No restaurant would welcome their competitor’s efforts to take away their customers right inside their own premises.
We do offer restaurants carrying Coffee News a free listing in the publication so that readers can know where to pick up a copy of Coffee News.

Q: How much is an ad?
A: Ads in Coffee News are less expensive than traditional print media (or any other media for that matter), so that small & medium size businesses can easily afford to advertise. Unlike any other print publication, Coffee News provides exclusive advertising – which means you can keep your competition out.
You can advertise in Coffee News for about the cost of a latte a day. For more detailed rate information, you can reach us by phone at 541-390-7890 or email: info@coffeenewsoforegon.com

Q: Why do you recommend that the ad should run for at least 13 weeks (3 months)?
A: Advertising is about creating awareness in the public’s mind that your product/service exists. As that awareness builds, consumers will begin to buy or refer your business. On the average, your ad must be seen 7-9 times before a consumer truly becomes aware of your product/service. 3 months is the minimum length of time to accurately gauge any type of results.

Q: How do I pay for the ad?
A: We offer flexibility in paying for your ad. You may pay in cash, money order or check. A minimum of four weeks payment is required in advance. We will bill you monthly via email or regular mail.

Q: Do I need to design the ad?
A: If you already have a camera-ready ad – great! If not, that’s fine; we can work with you to create one.

Q: Can I change my ad?
A: Yes, you can. And, it's free of charge!
